Planning Our Future
Sequoia Hospital's decision to rebuild at its current Redwood City site was made because of its continuing commitment to providing innovative and exceptional health care for the residents of southern San Mateo County.

Vision
On November 30, 2007, a new agreement between Catholic Healthcare West (CHW) and Sequoia Healthcare District resulted in a change in governance for the hospital and will also provide funding for the modernization, expansion and state-mandated seismic retrofit of the medical campus.
In August 2007, the Redwood City City Council unanimously approved the final plans to rebuild the hospital campus. This approval represents the culmination of more than two years of work with the City staff and Sequoia Hospital.
Our new medical campus will offer comprehensive physician services, advanced inpatient and outpatient care, and expanded ER services, making the best even better. We will continue to offer world-class medical care in a compassionate, convenient and patient-friendly environment.
